Day 58 Ayia Napa, Cyprus

Hello, everyone.  Cyprus is beautiful.  The weather is warm, the skies are sunny, and the pool is cool.  We are excited to spend the next few days in this little corner of the world.  As usual, the hotel is nowhere near the quality we had expected, or as had been advertised, but we are happily embracing the good qualities of our surroundings.

Not too much news this time around.  The flights were nice, and it was wonderful to set down in a warm climate.  It looks like things should stay that way for the duration of our visit.  The plan over the next few days is pretty open.  We plan on getting some sun, sleeping in, and enjoying a respite from the constant rigors of travel.  And even though we will end up spending a little more than we planned, we should come out on the other end of the week relaxed and refreshed.

We had to devote much of the day today to finding some new clothes.  We had packed only cold-weather clothes due to the weather, so when we landed on Cyprus with only long pants and overcoats, we knew something had to be done.  We were able to find some cheap (and incredibly touristy) clothes and swimsuits, and our vacation from our vacation is set to begin.

Messages will probably be sparse over the next week.  I dont know how much sightseeing we will do, and I can only imagine how boring emails would be talking about us sitting in the sun.  So Ill spare everyone the headache and only write if something interesting happens.

I have uploaded some photos from Pompeii.  You can see them
here.  Enjoy the coming week.
