Studies you can do at our school:

There are 346 students (from 11 to 18 years old)

Students(from 11 to 16) study ESO ( compulsory secondary education) and Bachillerato(16 to 18);it is not compulsory and it is aimed to those students who want to get a university degree. There are two kind of systems you can get your certficates at the I.E.S.Lucas Mallada

• Attending lessons during the day.
• Correspondence courses : students who can't attend lessons work at home with the help of a tutor from our school .

Projects

Both teachers and students are involved in different projects with positive results:

- Malted Project: for teachers in which English teachers have been formed to use internet as a tool to use in our classes

-"Europe at School" Project: Both students and French and English teachers work in a web page with schools from Poland and Rumania

- Foroidea project:The students take part in different debates with diferent schools from Spain. 

-Meeting the author project: students from the school have the chance to meet different Spanish writers , and they read their books.

Euroaventura: Students and teachers work in a data bank about Europe through internet and the construction of a web page about Europe. The contest is organized and sponsored by a Spanish bank: Caixa de Barcelonabank.

-Comenius : Schools from Poland, Holand, Belgium, Italy, and Spain work together in three year's project: "A unique Europe, with its national differences"
