Background

Middle of the year 2003 God gave a word to me He said,
"Gather the Christians together and I will make a positive change in the Government". This led me to ask my wife Joan to convey this message to the other known Christians in their department. This started a regular weekly meeting of a handful of Christians.

God then gave me a vision of a mountain shaking and crumbling and then a house being rocked exposing a dark cavern full of bats under the ground for which it was built upon.  This vision imparted upon me the need to build upon a strong foundation.  This foundation is the foundation of Christ and the Bible.  The group started to lay the proper foundation in Christ in every meeting we had.  This regular gathering went on for quite a time and all that time we were able to see the hands of God in a lot of events in our lives, the airport and the nation these has given us a greater hope in the promises of God.

But eventually for one reason or another, the regular gathering stopped.  Nonetheless, a bond between those who have attended the meeting was created and a deeper sense of God's purpose was established in each and everyone's lives.

The Creation

Despite that, the regular meeting of the Christian had stopped, the word that God gave me has always burned in my heart and I truly believed that this is the will of God and that it is in accordance with HIS PLANS.  By the end of February 2005, He gave me a word  PSALM (Philippine Salt and Light Movement) and He led me to such verses as
Matthew 5:13-16 and Colossian 3:17 this became the framework of PSALM.

The Mission

I have always believed that God has a purpose for us and He have clearly expressed it by giving us through Christ the
Great Commission

Matthew 28:19-20

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

There are four key actions in these verse Go, Baptize, Teach, and Obey

Go requires an action, a movement

Baptism is a public announcement of a personal experience.  It is a Christian act of    obedience and a public testimony of a believer's willingness to be identified and follow Christ

Teach is imparting Knoeledge, Guidance and Information

Obey is to submit to the authority of God's Kingdom

These four action is the driving force of PSALM in reaching out to the nation all in the Glory of the name of our LORD.
