BIOGRAPHIES
I give the students a graphic organizer called "Very Special People." They have to interview one parent or adult they live with. The center of the graphic organizer has a picture frame to either place a photo or draw a picture of the person they will be writing about. There are 4 boxes around the picture frame that ask for specific details about the person they are writing about. The first box asks for PHYSICAL TRAITS. The second box asks for PERSONALITY TRAITS. The third box asks for one special WAY This Person Has Helped ME. The fourth box asks for one special WAY this person has helped others. After they fill this graphic organizer out, they write 4 paragraphs on lined paper using the information.
