EA Sports has done it again. Thier hit sequel SSX Tricky has taken the world by storm. Okay, maybe I am being a little too dramatic. However, SSX Tricky is a very good game. The graphics are very good, and it's got some pretty groovy beats to go along with it. The gameplay is that of the original SSX but amped up with the new Tricky feature which allows you to perform insane Uber tricks once you have your boost full. The tracks are the same as SSX but made more incredible by loading them with more grind rails, ramps, and other goodies. There is now an even bigger selection of charachters and many of them are played by celebrity voices. This game is what SSX should of been. Once you play this game your breath will be taken away by it's awesome simplicity and stunning visual effects. Don't worry about this game being too hard, once you get the feel of things you'll be cruising through the tracks like a pro. Even young children can master SSX Tricky's unique control. This is a truely remarkable game. But fans of the original SSX may be a bit dissapointed. Tricky is basically a copy of SSX, but made moderately better. The tracks are almost identical, gameplay is identical, the only changes is the tricky system, amped up levels, and the DVD content, oh and the wider selection of charachters. Those of you interested in storylines, forget about it, SSX has nothing of a storyline. But, if you have not bought SSX and you are looking for a truely incredible snowboarding game, buy SSX Tricky. If you are a die-hard fan you can also buy it. But I don't reccomend buying it if you have the orginal SSX, because the elements and gameplay are identical. |
