To sum it up in one sentence, "Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec is an absolutely stunning performance of sheer excelence." Racing-sim fans will be amazed at the game's awesome physics, graphics, and quality of gameplay. All while putting the medal to the medal to come out ahead in that final stretch. Of all the racing-sims out there, GT3 leaves the rest of the compition in the dust. Never has a game become so realistic in the history of gaming. This is one revolutionary game.
Intricately detailed graphics will grab your attention right from the start. You'll notice how much time and effort the developers put into it to make it the most realistic experiance you can enjoy using your Playstation 2. From the cones that fly across your windshield, to the reflections gleaming on the other competitor's cars, you can see that this game redifines the definition of realism.
The sound is amazing. Hard-core car fanatics can immediately tell what car they are driving just from the sound of the engine. As you zoom around the bend at top speeds you are amazed at the beautiful sounds coming from your Mercedez. With a decent audio track, you just can't beat the quality of sound for Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec.
Gameplay is a bit short of miraculous. There are literally hundreds of tuning options, cars, lisence tests, and racing events. It will take you literally months to beat it 100%. From the begginer races to the professional, this game has enough difficulty that even the best of the best will have a hard time with it. There is no better feeling than saving up enough credits to go and buy that car of your dreams. They have tons of options from countries around the world. You can pick from Chevy and Ford, to Jaguar and Mercedez. The core of the game, racing, is extremely addicting. You have rally challenges, endurance challenges, to the basic race around the track for a few laps. Whizzing by your opponents to duke it out with the current holder of first-place in this competitive game is a definate thrill for all.
Given the fact that I am not a big fan of racing-sims, this game changed that. I love GT3 and I reccomend it to anyone who is looking for the best racing game out there. A definate for anyone's PS2 library. Go ahead and rent it if you want, but I garuntee you'll be craving for more once you have to bring it back. |
