I. What is DialGuard

DialGuard is a utility that traps attempts to dial a remote access server
(ie, PPP connections) by any Windows program. It was written to catch
programs from various websites which attempt to dial to a pay-by-minute
line in some foreign country.

II. How do I use DialGuard

Unzip DialGuard to any directory (such as \progra~1\dialgrd).
Before surfing, run "dialguard.exe". You will see an icon in your
system tray.

When a program tries to dial out, you will see a Dialog box in the upper
lefthand corner of your screen giving information about the attempted
connection.

If you click DENY, an error will be returned to the program - it won't be
able to call out.

If you click ALLOW (if you use a replacement Dialer? AOL maybe?), the call
will go through normally.

Finally, to close DialGuard, click on the Icon in the system tray, and choose
Exit.

III. What about the source

DialGuard is released under the GNU Public License.
