| Why are there break-ups in the transmission? |
| Break-ups in the transmission can be because of many reasons. Some of the reasons are: 1. Your bandwidth (14k, 28k, 56k, 300k...) isn't fast enough to recieve the data (this problem usually occurs in 14k modems listening to this particular transission) 2. The server's ping time is high and thus slowing down the delivery of the data 3. You are surfing the web while listening to the transmission which reduces the bandwidth avalible for the Modulator-Demodulator (otherwise known as a modem) to recieve the streaming data 4. You are uploading something onto the web which reduces the bandwitdth availible to for the Modulator-Demodulator (otherwise known as a modem) to recieve the streaming data and/or 5. You are downloading something (anything INCLUDING MP3s) from the internet which reduces the bandwidth availible for the Modulator-Demodulator (otherwise know as a modem) to recieve the streaming data |
