Roosevelt Island PTA Member Bios

Executive Team

Erin Feely-Nahem, President

Erin is serving her second term as the President of the PTA. Previously she served the school as an elected representative of the Leadership Team.   She is currently attending a post graduate certification program at the Hunter Graduate School of Social Work and is the Director of an emergency shelter for survivors of domestic violence and their children.  Erin and her husband Ike, an Amtrack locomotive engineer, have lived on Roosevelt Island for two and a half years with their son Andrew, who is presently in third grade.  Erin's main concerns are increasing parental involvement, working with the Administration and the union to continue to improve the quality of our children's education, and raising the necessary funds to achieve these goals.  You can contact Erin by e-mail at [email protected]

Mosud Mannan, 1st Vice President

Julian Stein, 2nd Vice President

Julian has served for several years as the PTA's 3rd Vice President, responsible for preparing the PTA newsletter and other communication materials. His son Jonathan is in the 6th grade and his daughter Melissa graduated from 217 in 1999. Julian works for the New York City Department of Transportation as executive assistant to the Deputy Commissioner for Customer Service.  You can contact Julian by e-mail at [email protected]

Emma Sosa, 3rd Vice President

Carlos Chu is currently assembling the PTA Website development team.
