About Marta Y. Pabellon Imbert PRTESOL Dominican Republic Liason
Prof. Marta Y. Pabell�n Imbert has been a secondary  education teacher of the public school system of Puerto Rico for 28  years and a professor at the University of Puerto Rico in Carolina since 1989. She is a teacher trainer and has been a professional resource for  the mentoring project, Standards of Excellence. She has been a resource person for Pearson Education and Houghton Mifflin.
She received her BA from the University of Puerto Rico,  Rio Piedras Campus, an MA from Phoenix University and has doctoral courses from the University of Puerto Rico.
Prof. Pabell�n has held various positions on the PRTESOL Board: President of Metro Chapter, Secondary Education Representative, Department of Education Representative, Higher Education Representative and  President of Puerto  Rico Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (PRTESOL)2001. She has been the liaison between PRTESOL and the English teachers in the  Dominican Republic for the past four years.
