Description of Persona: Physical: Jafel is about 5'11'', with large broad shoulders and chest which signifies he will probably keep growing. He's a strong swimmer. He has shaggy mouse-brown hair that he keeps trimmed out of his face, but it's still long enough to flip around as he walks. He has beautiful piercing brown eyes like a hawk. When he walks, he has a little bit of a slouch, and kind of just plods along. He is very muscular and fit. He has dark, bronzed skin, and is popular with older women, which he is coincidentally not interested in because he is afraid of them thinking he is childish.
Emotional: Jafel has severe self-confidence issues. He is afraid of failure, and afraid of taking risks because he is frightened that he will mess up. Jafel is extremely intelligent, and that sometimes works against him because he gets a lot of slack from the other apprentices about being to quick with answers. He also tends to think through things a lot, sometimes to an extreme, and is very nitpicky. Jafel is an extreme perfectionist as well, which does not help his fear of failure. But he is a very sweet person, and wouldn't hurt a crawler, much less another human. He likes dragons, and firelizards, but he doesn't particularly want one of his own. He is very empathic and has great paternal instincts. Other people have suggested that he might have homosexual tendencies, but Jafel is too preoccupied with his self-esteem issues to even start think about his sexuality.

Brief History of Persona: Jafel was born in the SeaCraft Hall, and always knew he wanted to be a sailor. His parents were both journeymen of the Fishercraft. He was formally apprenticed to the SeaCraft Hall at age 13. Because he has a bone-deep fear of failure, Jafel studies diligently and learns fast.
