Description of Persona: Vialys (VI-liss) is about 5'7", with a trim frame. Her eyes are a hazy, almost gray blue, but her most noticeable facial feature is her eyelashes and brow, which are the same color as her hair. Her thick hair, which she keeps upper-back length is off a rich brown color. While she wishes she were taller, Vialys' posture gives a very convincing impression of more height.
Vialys is a naturally warm person, and is especially fond of children; she would make a wonderful mother. However, she can easily switch social styles depending on the situation (ie. she can be strict or extremely businesslike if the circumstances call for it). She is devoted to her teaching and music, but tries to balance her career with other craft (harper) options. Vialys also understands the consequences of "all work and no play...", and lives her life accordingly.
Brief History of Persona: Vialys grew up in a cothold affiliated with Corinn Hold with parents who were a metalsmith and tailor. She originally had no ambitions in life but to follow into her mother's craft and be an apprentice tailor, but when the local harper pointed out her natural skill with the guitar that she had begun to play, he suggested to her and her parents that she consider becoming a harper. Within a Turn of this event, Vialys began her apprenticeship at the Ridge Crest Hold Harper Hall. When she was 19, she walked the tables and became a junior journeywoman. A couple of years later, Vialys found herself unsatisfied as only a composer, and decided to look into specializing. She found that teaching was the ideal specialization for her, and began to focus on it. When she was 26, she became a senior journeywoman. At this point, she wanted to begin seriously teaching and inquired the Craftmaster at the hall about open positions. He referred her to Dark Ridge Weyr, and after a few months, Vialys relocated to the Weyr, and has been a well established harper there ever since.
