Description of Persona: The best word to describe Kearey is 'dark'. She has a darkly tanned complexion, black hair clipped short about her head, maybe an inch in length, and dark indigo blue eyes. More often than not her hair can be found standing up in wild dissaray around her head because she tends to run her fingers through it and forget about it. The clear dark blue of her eyes is emphasized by thick curled black lashes. Her eyes are wide, almost dominating her face, but there's a veiled expression about them. No one can really tell what she's thinking by looking at her eyes. Her smile is readily available as is her laugh. She stands about 5'9 in height, and is almost perfectly proportioned. She's a bit on the muscular side, but that's a side effect of working at the forge.

Kearey is a happy individual, she's almost always smiling and not many can remember a time when she was sad. Kearey almost never cries, to her, crying is a sign of weakness and she learned early to never let weaknesses show. The last time she can remember crying was about 5 turns ago when one of her closest older brothers died. She'll talk to anyone regardless of rank and personality, but if she doesn't like someone, she won't hesitate to let them know, then proceed to ignore them quite effectivly. There's not many people she doesn't like as she's a very tolerating person. She has plenty of friends, just not many close friends.

Brief History of Persona: She was born in Fort Weyr to a WingLeader and the journeywoman harper who was his weyrmate. She was the sixth child to be born and 10 more siblings soon joined them over the turns. Kearey was always closer to her father than her mother even though he was a very over bearing individual. He taught her that to show emotion was showing a weakness, and weakness was to be despised and avoided at all costs. Kearey leaned these lessons very well and never cried as a child, not even when she broke her arm, or when her father died in threadfall much later.

He died when she was 12, attempting to cover for one of his wingriders that had been scored, before anyone realized what was happening a shriek was heard, they went between, and never came out again. His death only served to pull Kearey and her mother farther apart. She moved out of the families weyr, found her own lodgings and was quite happily settled by the time her mother realized what had happened. Of course her mother demanded that Kearey move back, what sort of image was this for her? A woman who let her 12 turn old daughter move out and be completely self sufficient before the mother even realized what had happend. It just wasn't proper.

Kearey refused and apprenticed to the smiths at the weyr. She kept in close contact with her siblings however, especcially her oldest brother. He took over their fathers place with her and Kearey looked up to him adoringly. Tragedy struck the next turn however when he was killed in a gather brawl.

Kearey had had enough. Fort was too full of memories, and packing her bags, she transfered south. She stayed at Southern long enough to get her journeywomans knot before transfering to Dark Ridge Weyr. She was there for only a few months before being searched.
