MALLS
In addition to the traditional bazaars there are several modern shopping
centers in Karachi, particulary the following:
Tariq Road
This Road is lined by an array of most modern shopping malls where most people like to go to for garments, footwear, jewellery and household stuff.This area is a particular favourite of Pakistan ladies because of the nature of the goods available. Famous malls include Dolmen Centre, Rabi Centre and Glamour one.
Zaibunnissa Street
This is a more traditional shopping area located in the old part of the city and was known before as Elphinstone Street. Most of the marriage shopping in Karachi is done here because there are many jewellery and traditional dress shops located here. Other products you can find here are leather goods, carpets and handicrafts.
Main Clifton Road
This area is famous for Boutiques and other consumer items. You will find
some designer label shops including Benneton here.
Zamzamma
This area located in the posh part of the city has several local and foreign
designer garment stores.
Awami Markaz
This shopping plaza located on Shahrah-e-Faisal, (the road that links the airport with the city centre) is a shopping mall cum office area where you can do things like get your passport or ID card made or pay your utility bills as well as shop. There are several services and shops available under one roof and it is centrally airconditioned.
