Dear Friends,
 |
|
William,
Katy, Maria, Carmen, Nivia and Jose in the central park of San
Antonio |
We hope this letter finds you all
well. Our students from the small Indian village of San Antonio,
Guatemala are sending you their warmest thanks and regards for
2004! Godchildren are sending their godparents letters and photos
while the others thank all of you for your generous donations
to the general schoolfund of the project..
Three of our students will soon be graduating from the vocational
high school, Carmen in fashion design, Jose as a mechanic and
Mildred as a school teacher. Five more students are attending
middle school, basico, Williams, Maylin, Maria de
los Angeles, Teresa and Magda. Finally, our three youngest ones,
Katy , Nivia and Idalia are going to the elementary school. Two
parents continue to play the essential role of volunteering in
P.E.M.s office in San Antonio. As the president, Cesar
has access to the funds and oversees their distribution to P.E.M.s
students throughout the year . Carlos, the secretary and treasurer
gives out the money and collects receipts during office hours.
Hilda, as always, does the bookkeeping at the end of each year
and keeps us informed through regular e-mail exchanges. Three
meetings are held throughout the year for all involved in the
project.
