| This is a very good drama about a young woman, Dr. Sydney Hansen, who moves from LA back to her hometown of Providence, Rhode Island, after practicing cosmetic surgery on movie stars and wealthy teens. She moves in with her dad, Dr. James Hansen, her younger sister, Joanie Hansen, and her baby brother, Robbie Hansen. Her mother has just died, I'm guessing from lung cancer because she smoked so much. Syd frequently has dream sequences with her mother. Providence is interesting not only to adults, but to teens as well. Syd is a postive role model for young girls (like me!) She is a good doctor who tries to help people and doesn't always take things at face value. Recently, she has been trying to help a man who keeps the lighthouse; he had a boating accident and has a very scarred face. I'm sensing a possible romance between these two as she is very persistent and he has opened up to no one else but her. I know she cares for him and I'm sure he cares for her, but I'm not sure how much. I think the caring is growing and blooming into something more. For any of you who don't know when the show comes on but would like to watch, it comes on Monday evenings at 10 on Fox Family and on Friday evenings at 8 on NBC. The episodes on NBC are the new ones, while the episodes on Fox Family are reruns. I'll try to keep this page updated as much as I can, but you guys know how it gets with school and stuff. |
