| There is a book that is a compilation of articles. A nice idea, but I personally prefer having the original article, with the complete magazine. You get a better feel of the times (and competing cars) by reading the other articles and advertisements. I find that some of the facts or details printed in the articles to be enlightening. For example, in the article linked above about the Mangusta, it mentioned that the "gullwing" engine hatches might be replaced with a forward opening, single hatch. Obviously that didn't turn out to be the case. In early articles about the Pantera mentioned that is was called the "Cobra", the "DeTomaso 351", and the "Puma", before the name "Pantera" was finally choosen. |
