DeTomaso Emblems
So it is no surprise that DeTomaso used the same emblems on the Mangusta, the early Panteras, and the occasional Euro Pantera.
Small auto makers often use the same emblems on several cars due to the cost of tooling.
Here is an example of a Mangusta emblem on the rear hatch.
Compare this to the 'detomaso' emblem seen right, that is on the dash of a Euro-GTS.
This is the rear valiance of a very early Pantera.  Note the font (script)  of the emblem.
Later Panteras received this style of 'DeTomaso' and 'Pantera' script.  This car also sports a 'GTS" emblem.
The Pantera body was designed by Tom Tjaarda, at Ghia.  DeTomaso chose to add the Ghia logo, and a Ghia emblem was mounted on the front fenders.
A "Powered by FORD" emblem was fixed to the decklid on the top face, in the right back corner.  On European cars this emblem was replaced by  "DeTomasoV8"  in the same location.
The font (or script) used on the later Panteras was also used on the other models DeTomaso produced.  Above is the Deauville.  Under the left taillight is the familiar 'DeTomaso' and under the right taillight is the Deauville badge.
The Longchamp model also wore the later Pantera style 'DeTomaso' badge.
Above, a USA GTS.  The Pantera emblem replaced the DeTomaso emblem to the left on the license plate area, to make room for the GTS on the right.
Above, is a Euro-GTS.  Note the emblems and location used.
