Anti-Terrorism and Civil Liberties
The office of Homeland security has just put "Operation Predator" into action. It's focus is universal not just finding and deporting allians who have a history of child abuse. Based on the past history of the United States Government and its misuse of survaillence, I believe any adult who is attracted to minors is in danger, regardless of their behavior.

This threat is even greater for organizations that advocate changes in the age of consent or challenge the concept that all sex between adults and minors is harmful.
Based on Operation Predator a whole new definiton of terrorism is being created to suppress the freedom of speech and freedom of association for boy-lovers.
Part of the press release reads as follows:
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Department of Homeland Security today announced Operation Predator, a comprehensive DHS initiative designed to enhance the Administration's efforts to protect children from pornographers, child prostitution rings, Internet predators, alien smugglers, human traffickers, and other criminals. The President has made it clear that anyone who harms a child will be a priority target of law enforcement in this Administration.
"Operation Predator integrates the Department's authorities to target those who exploit children," said Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge. "The Department of Homeland Security is coordinating the Department's once-fragmented investigative and intelligence resources into a united campaign against child predators."
The recent article, Dictatorship at Your Doorstep," by James Elwood and Jarret Woolstine, does an excellent job of outlining the current threat that the current unchecked campaign against terrorism posses to our civil liberties.
Among other things the article outlines how the "USA Patriot Act" Authorizes an American Police State.
In past history the FBI's counterintelligence organization did more than simply gather information on so called "subversive" individuals and organizations in the 1950's, 60's and 70's. Its intent was to discredit and destroy politically progressive individuals and their organizations.
Ashcroft is now trying to coordinate the CIA and FBI in ways reminiscent of COINTELPRO. He wants the CIA working hand in hand with the FBI. This promises even more mischief, since the CIA had a domestic surveillance program of it's own called "Operation CHAOS" that was as devious as COINTELPRO.
There are many good web site that give a factual history of what happened with both COINTELPRO and "Operation CHAOS." This is not fanciful conspiracy theory. The history is well documented and easily found.
