Ice Painting
Materials:

Food Coloring
Ice cube tray
Toothpicks or popsicle sticks
White construction paper


Fill the ice cube trays with the food coloring and water, place in toothpick or popsicle stick.  Freeze over night.  Have children hold the ice cube with the stick and wipe over white paper.
Warm Mittens
Materials:

Soft material, such as cotton balls, furry fabric or yarn
2 pre-cut mitten shapes
Glue
10-inch yard

Glue the material in shape of the mitten, have children decorate, and then take 10" lenth yarn and attach at the bottom of each mitten
Colored Snow
Materials:

Food coloring
Shovel
Bath tub
Snow
Water


Bring in a few shovels of snow and put in bath tub, give children cups of water with food coloring, let them pour it over the snow and see it make colors then let them play in it

Sparkling Winter Picture
Materials:

Old holiday cards
Epsom salt
Boiling water(let cool before use)


Have children paint over the cards with the mixture of salt and water.  As the paint dries crystals will form on the cards.
Paper Plate Snowman
Materials:

3 paper Plates
Stapler(i used tape)
Construction paper
Material scraps
Markers
Glue


Staple 3 paper plates together
Make a hat from construction paper and a scarf from the scraps of paper and glue them on snowman.  Add facial features with the scraps or markers
Winter Igloo
Materials:

Sugar Cubes
Glue
optional:
Glitter
Crystal Studs
Sequins


Directions:  Place Sugar cube onto of one another and glue to form an igloo. Decorate with the glitter, studs, or sequins.
