Defense R & D Division
The goal of the Defense Technology Research and Design Division is to provide our nation with the cutting edge in defense and security technology. In an age where the threat of terrorism and destruction is very real, America needs every advantage it possibly can in the war on terror to protect our freedoms and way of life. Our mission is to provide the good men and women of our military and law enforcement agencies with the resources and tools they need to defend our nation. The Future is real, the Future is now, and Prototek Enterprises is honored to play a part in making it happen.

Armored Cybernetic Exoskeleton: Titan Class
The standard ACE, the Titan is the core of the Prototek forces. The Titan is moderately armored, so that it does not sacrifice maneuverability, and it is equipped with a PAAMD, a shoulder-mounted grenade launcher, and a heavy duty machine gun. The Titan is shielded by an electro-magnetic field and four layers of armor. The first layer is a nuclear and chemical resistant nurescell compound. It does not offer much protection against projectiles, but offers excellent resistance against radiation and chemical agents. The next two layers are overlapping plates of triple weave kevlar. This is meshed together to form a tight, incredibly strong weave. The third layer is comprised of areogel, which is 99.8% air, but its lightweight and insulation properties offer comfort and a surprising amount of resistance. The Titan is capable of launching BISENIGs, EMP grenades, and frag grenades. The Titan class ACE is the core unit of the Prototek arsenal.
Portable Assault Automatic Mass Driver (PAAMD)
The PAAMD is essentially a rail gun. It fires titanium bearings at armor-piercing velocities. The PAAMD has small micromagnets that pull the titanium bearing into an ellipitical orbit. As the titanium bearing continues in that orbit, its velocity increases. The PAAMD is equipped with a sensor that detects the velocity of the bearing. When the bearing has reached a suitable velocity, the sensor will send a signal to the user by making a loud noise and by displaying it on a monitor on the gun. Once the user pulls the trigger, the magnets will shut off, launching the titanium bearing at an extremely high velocity out the barrel and at the intended target. The PAAMD has a somewhat slow firing rate, but packs a lot of power, ideal for dealing with armored vehicles.
Sonic Stun Gun
The only Prototek Enterprises device that will be marketed to the general populace, the sonic stun gun is one of the few non-lethal weapons we produce. The sonic stun gun projects a cone of intense sound directed through the barrel at the attacker (or whatever the gun is pointed to). This intense frequency throws potential attackers out of equilibrium, making it difficult to coordinate attacks, walk, or even stand properly. This buys the user valuable time to escape or launch a counterattack. The Sonic Stun Gun is an invaluable tool to have for self-defense.
