| Sensors The USS Protostar, like all Intrepid class ships has a large ammount of sensor systems. These systems include: Upper sensor array. Lower sensor array. Forward sensor array. Aft sensor array. Navigational sensors. Sensors are probably the most important aspect of the science and navigational departments. With out them they could not function, they are the eyes and ears of the Protostar. Sensors are uselful in areas such as - Astronomical observation, this includes optical and wideband EM scanning for the study of stellar objects and other phenomena actoss light year range. - Planetary surface analysis, short range sensors provide extensive mapping and survey capabilities from planetary orbit. -Remote lifeform analysis, biological data can be recieved from orbital distaces.
