Pressure Sensing!
84-89 Carrera: Pressure
Sensing is now available for 1984-1989 911 Carrera's, enabling high output
racing engines, turbochargers, superchargers, multiple butterfly racing
intakes, etc. to be applied to the already very competent 3.2L Carrera
engine. By ridding yourself of the airflow meter, as well as a Mass Flow
Sensor, this leaves you unrestricted in intake manifold design, and allows
calibration on turbocharged engines to compensate for any boost condition.
Complete packages available to convert existing DME's to Pressure sensing.
Pressure Sensing packages include a copy of the Motronics
Calibrator, but is limited to the pressure sensing applications unless
purchased otherwise. Live
tune can also be applied to these systems to create a laptop
programmable system.

89-94 C2/C4: We have
also converted the 3.6 Motronics for the 1989-1994 Carrera 2's and 4's
to throttle position sensing for racing applications where extremely high-overlap
/ high-lift cams, and single stack manifolding would make everything else
non-functional.

94-95 993: Although the
993's have a very low restriction mass flow sensor, they can also benefit
from pressure sensing. Dyno tuning has shown up to 30hp gains, normally
aspirated, by removing the mass flow sensor, air box and going with a low
restriction air filter. Turbocharging
is where the major gains can be had.
The factory mass flow sensor runs out of range at 470-490hp, and that's
just where the 993 engine starts to breath. Pressure sensing allows
any power level to be obtained within the 0-250kpa range of the sensor,
ie up to 1.5bar boost, all with unsurpassed drivability and power at all
levels.

Coming Soon! 944 Turbo's
will soon be able to take advantage of Pressure Sensing Motronics.
Rid yourself of that flapper type air flow meter, or that aftermarket mass
flow sensor and go where most racing-only 944's have been. How much
power did you say you wanted to make?!!!
