Like any fire type, Ifrit comes as a classic hot-tempered, rash and prideful Houndoom. The hound always puts friendship above all, and usually does things on impluse, never thinking twice. Such actions usually lead the team into trouble, and also gets teased by Javas, whom he now bickers with more often. However, he knows his own weaknessess and tries to overcome them, with some help from Saital and Lucied.
In his battle against Suicune and Raikou outside the shrine of Dakota, the Houndoom learned a new technique from Entei, the Ryuga no Tuskimono. Unfortunately, the fire legendary received a fatal wound and soon died, but not before imparting all of his own memories and everything else to the Houndoom through the Flux. Before his passing, Entei also mentioned about his mother, making Ifrit now wonder just what his true heritage is...
