About me (slow on FireFox and several warnings)
As a hobby I used to make small Demo's for retro-computers ( MSX, C64, Atari ST, Acorn BBC ).
Lately I started thinking about porting these projects to PC because:
all that old shit really clutters my house ( I'll post some pictures later)
I need a PC on my desk anyway
you can always buy a new PC that works
you can get stuff from the internet and it will work straight away without disk-transfers
it sucks when your 3.5" or 5.25" disks go bad and you have no backup
programming retro-computers will not make me rich
publishing, distributing the fun is so much easier
emulators for retro-machines are nice but not the real thing
I want to try something else
I did some low-level programming in assembly for CGA cards a few years ago, just because I could.
The low level stuff on PC's is fun too but, you even if you don't use the routines of the os, you do need some kind of an os.
I would like:
my code to work on any os I am using or going to use
my os to work with as much as my Pc current and future hardware as possible
the os running my code provide me with all the programs and tools I need for all purposes
That's why I decided to try JavaScript graphic programming.
I will be blogging on this site and posting my new projects ( Until I need something better) My Blog Last updated: July 2009
