20081001 Installed PClinuxOS on a PC of a friend of mine. It was fun! Can't wait to return the PC to him
and see his reaction. For the moment I will install it with a switchbox so he only needs one screen.
The cables are always the problem. He was an extra keyboard and mouse, but the switch I gave him also works
for keyboard and mouse. But that would mean too many cables. At this moment he just wants to explore linux
a bit and claims he doesn't need internet on the linux box. But in a while I might donate an old hub to him so
he can have internet on his new vista machine and the old linux box.

Also promised to have a look at laptop with malfunctioning screen. Have some ideas
how to go about it. I already noticed that you can get the laptop to work with an external screen.
That person already bought a new desktop with screen so maybe I will fix a switch box that has been laying
around mhy house for to long. Worst case he can always use the laptop as a desktop.
Maybe I can convince him to start linuxing on the laptop too!

Lately I put some extra stuff for sale on the internet.
It's not only fun to get some money, but also to get some space in the house.
You never know what you are going to sell at what moment.

Next friday I am going to try to buy a bike again at the place were the confiscated bikes are sold.
I think I can sell that fast with a small profit on the internet. And this thing is repeatable, although you
can only boy one bike per person per month.

I also traded leave-days from work for money a few days ago. I just have to wait how many hours are accepted for trade now.
I expect to get a few hundred Euros from that.

The startup of the retro computer club is still going slow.

There is as always a lot of administration, cleaning and household stuff keeping me busy.
If I manage to generate enough money with selling stuff on the internet, I might invest it in a
Personal Assistant/babysitter/cleaning lady. That way I save time and energy to sell even more stuff.

Things that are on my mind to develop with javscript lately are 6502/c64 emulation, assembler, collision detection
for C64 sprites, scrolls etc
20081003 Got a nice bike at the place were the confiscated bikes are sold by the police. The price was 25 Euro;
a bargain. The receipt to proof you didn't steel the bike was a very simple handwritten note with the framenumber on it.
They also put the price on the receipt; that will make it harder to sell with a profit if they want to see the proof.
Anyway the bike is so nice that I am considering to sell my own and keep this one. It is a bit of a difficult decision.
I want to let it rest for a while and see how both bikes hold up, but not for too long because I need the space.

This time it was worth the waiting. But I am not sure I will go next month. The people working there might recognize me.
maybe they even keep a registration because the asked me for my name and address. It is a bit emberassing as it is, but I also
get the feeling that the sale is not intended for people who are going to resell the bikes. They didn't mention any rules like that though.

Very busy all of a sudden at work with building webservices. Lot's of social obligations and people to visit at the upcoming weekend.
At the same time I am selling a lot of stuff on the internet. The last thing I initiated myself but the rest just happened.
Anyway selling on internet is just work at the end of the day. In my case selling stuff on internet is more complicated than
it has to be. Of course part of that is because I make it so /perceive it like that. But anyway it is the way it is and I better cope
with those fact then just get annoyed.

Tight planning, lots of stress and thing to remember/think about this weekend.

On the otherhand this is better than being bored and I can always take a day off to rest. Reducing stress is a matter of making choices.
It is not always choosing not to do something, it is just choosing to do something else first.
When there comes a time of boredom you can always pick up something you had put off earlier on.
