20080429 Been scanning lots of paper, but new paper keeps comming in.
I discovered that a lot of stuff I printed out a some point is still available on the net.
In that case I just downloaded to internet-archive format and disposed the paper.

I did a lot of work on the Javascript drawing tool, instead of drawLines I now construct an array of points.
The cordinates are scale-able so you can easily make an animation of an approaching car for example.

Professional work related; did a lot of Cobol practice.
To get more and more used to Cobol and to keep it fun I am thinking about generating Javascript in Cobol.
BTW at home I am using the free downloadable student version of Fujitsu Cobol.
At work we use the licenced version of Fujitsu Cobol.
I am also considering RM Cobol on linux for private use.
Having fun exploring the differences in the compilers (Tabs in sequential files for example).
I was considering Oracle 10G, Postgress, MySql for database but settled for MsAccess and ODBC.
You have the sin, cos, tan stuff in cobol so you can calculate waves circles and the like.
You could only calculate the data-arrays for Javascript, but it is also possible to generate
a whole file of Javascript commands.

Bougth the Asus EEE.
My Javascripts demos are working on the Asus EEE, but FireFox is so slow.
Maybe I will try to get Opera working on the Asus EEE.

Dug up my Apple //c because I saw a cool demo about second life on the Apple //c (believe it's on youtube).
Also while I was working on the javascript drawing tool and generating arrays of cordinates I remembered
the Apple shapes. Apple shapes on 8 bit Apples are vectors coded with bits. If you have 4 directions you
need only 2 bits. However in a byte there is room for pen-up and pen-down bits also.
Those Apple shapes where slower than the hardware sprites of the c64 but they were scale-able.
Also I reckon I will be able te get some pre-made apple-shape files from the internet.
Or maybe I can rip apple-shapes from some games/demos.
The object is also to get the apple-shape data from the files and use it with Javascript.
The other way around is also interesting; make a drawing tool in Javascript to make apple-shapes.
Part of the reason for pulling out the apple //c is utilizing the wide screen TV in the bed-room.
That thing has cost me around 1300 Euro 5 years ago and is now idle because of the flat screen in
the living room.
