"How about that?" Asked Oshun in the kitchens after the hatching. It was a short but exciting hatching -- there was a white that hatched right after the girls bonded! "I think we've gone well," Oya said, her eyes drifting to the sleepy-headed dragons who still tried now and again to get their faces stuffed with another piece of raw meat. "It's a good thing we had those classes on feeding hatchlings," Oshun commented when they had pulled their dragonets away from the food, "because otherwise they'd be fat and too big to walk to our barracks!" Walk!? Bespoke one green, the first to break her shell and the one who bonded Oya. I am too sleepy to walk! Please tell her I cannot walk! Lesareath turned her weary head to her sister. Me either. I'm worried because maybe they both think we're going to walk... Thought Calarmath. The girls laughed -- they could both hear the dragons clearly, though they could not hear anyone else's.

It is a beautiful day! But that gold worries me... Thought Calarmath. She flies much too close to the dens. "I agree," Oshun nodded. Her sister poked her head out from the private part of their den, into the dragon's area. "What is going on? All the dragons below are frantic!" The gold rises! What are we to do!? Lesareath worriedly gave a little trumpet. We have not learned how to travel between... And I do not like how she flies near us! "Someone needs to tell that proddy gold that she's come too close to the weyrling barraks -- Oshun, couldn't you?" "I will, but keep Calarma calm, will you?" I'll try... Answered the dragon's sister.

Calarmath dove over the bay, and then swooped up back to deposit a large fish at Oshun's feet. "That's... nice, Cal... um." Do you not like it? I can get another one! I like this big ocean we have now! "It's not like it was back there at Moon Shadow, is it?" Oshun said, sighing and wondering what to do with the big floppy fish. Her unasked question was answered when Lesareath came tumbling in and snatched it up into her eager jaws, gulping it back and racing away. That was not for you! That was my rider's! Your rider will not eat a whole fish, uncooked! Lesar's response was carried with a dragon-laugh. Oya strode up, a rolled up chart in one hand, and a big smile on her face. "She's right of course, you wouldn't eat a whole uncooked fish, would you?" "Ugh..." Oshun laughed. Then, Calarmath swept up again, went to the sea and came back with yet another dripping prize. Shortly, she belched up a series of hot, yellow-red flame blasts. Now it is cooked for you! See! I cooked it! I do not see what you humans like about cooking things, it just makes the flavor icky. Oya and Oshun glanced at each other, at the dragon, and back to the fish...
