Retired Weyrleader P'at and Bronze Tsuchith
A mother and rider with flair. Uzume is as amazing as they come. Her hair has always been shock-white as it is here, and she has not cut it since the day she bonded Kagamith some 43 years ago. (It is actually much longer than you see, it trails behind her now in a long tail.)
She is adept at dancing and flirtation, as well as an expert weyrwoman. Her skills at paperwork surprise anyone who has not met her, for on the surface she seems to be simply a wonderfully commanding and lusty woman.
She is always one step ahead of anyone else in a conversation. Her mind is as sharp now as it was before she Bonded, and at that point in her life she was a navigation guild journeywoman. Her parents are long dead, but her uncle was a dragon rider. Her children include blue-riding T'shen, and possibly other riders though many of her (seven!) children were fostered and perhaps run around today on dragons themselves.
Her relationship with P'at is a silly, fun flirtation. She might or might not have gone through menopause by now, so their eager joinings might yet offer the world another vain, beautiful, extraordinary child...
Kagamith is a sharp but talented queen dragon whose last clutch rested upon Blackstone's sands before the Protectorate left their old world. With her retirement certain, the last clutch was a good one and she is proud of the service she had done for her world. Now she is more than content to zip about having fun in the Alskyran sun.
Obviously egocentric and utterly full of himself -- P'at has always prided himself on being right and doing better than those around him, before he brags even one ounce. He has made mistakes. But the stories around any den would never whisper one of those.
A tall and slender man, he has sired many children both in and out of Blackstone. L'ren and Loni remain close to him and his favored offspring. P'at met Uzume many years before in the navigation guild, but then bonded Tsuchith and became a guild flier. It was a short trip to weyrleader, actually. His talents for flying and scouting for threats were already almost legendary by the time he'd been on dragon back for five years.
Paperwork and administration came very easily for him, the guild taught him properly how to arrange things. His natural charm and wit, as well as he terrific good looks, aided him in soothing tempers or inciting changes in any weyr disputes.
Now at the age of 63, P'at and Tsuchith run around their favorite watering holes with friends and company, and keep track of records as they are often called upon to remember who did what or was put in which Wing.
Tsuchith is a bronze with a great mind. His quick wing and bold size have always aided him, and whenever he would chase a gold, he would either win or be the last flier in the air to tire besides the winner. P'at has always been proud of his dragon, and Tsu has a sense of humor which rivals his rider's. It is no wonder that he and the greatly pleasing Kagamith are at ease with each other, they had three clutches together, and would have more if the queen rose. Now they merely play, while their riders continue their life of leisure.
