Retired Wing Rider Aret on
Green Malmoth
One of the oldest riders of Blackstone still to be alive and kicking, Aret is certainly a strong example of training and diligence. She bonded when she was only 14, and her Malmoth prodded her into joining with T'or on a mating flight. They have never left each other's side, even though they both have had flights and children with others.
Aret is so very proud of her brown-riding daughter T'ver, never blinking when she announced her very masculine method of shortening her name. The only reason Aret did not do the same is... her name's short as it is.
Aret is looking forward to lounging about at the Protectorate's new digs, sipping coffee and enjoying others doing work for her, for a change. She is nearly 80 years old, and feels it's about time those pesky brats worked for their keep.
Malmoth is a quiet dragon, though steadfast in her devotion to her mate Tagrith, she has been allowed to lay two clutches. One with him, another with a blue several years later. Between them and long since, she has been a fighting dragon and feels she deserves praise as such.
T'OR
A stately man with a good strong education. He was slated to become a teacher, however his strength and exceptional agility drove him to Blackstone for guard training with Sk'y. Once there, of course, he never left. He is excellent at judgement and reaction, and though his official title of Wing Second is retired, he has the experience to remain on as a fledge trainer even in the new Protectorate.
T'or's dragon and he enjoy a secure relationship and will never fade. The trust between them is almost as strong as legend, his love of his wife is just short of that. T'or's two other children were both concieved through mating flights that his dragon won -- and to his pleasure and surprise, Aret encouraged the brown the whole time. T'bor and T'ver, and two other younger children, often come to see him and Aret in their retirement den.
Tagrith is a loud, quick dragon. He reacts to things just as quickly as his rider does, and his connection to T'or allowed him to remain scar-free for nearly all of his fighting career. Now that that career is over, he truly enjoys the attention he gets from the weyrling and fledges of the dens nearby. He thinks he really is "all that". So does T'or.
