As a responsible parent, K'eet is a loving father and provides everything he can to his daughter Petra. As a wing leader, he does even more. Because his wing is a navigator's scout wing, he and his dragon have rarely needed to fight threats in the air, however they have had their share of excitement.
K'eet bonded when he was 17, only one year before Petra was born. K'eet and Alexis raised their daughter together, an oddity in any weyr, since both are riders. Petra therefore has gotten used to the bustle and work involved with dragons and running a den properly.
When K'eet and Ashmarth perform in the air, it is stunning to watch. Rider and dragon work as one, and what is more important, they encourage -- demand, even -- their wing riders to perform as well. Alexis knew she would be able to work in this wing, long before their Sky's Limit wing was even formed.
Ashmarth is a calm, observant dragon. He is always ready to fly, and also ready to catch Reetoth when she goes into heat. They have actually nested several times, however they rarely had more than three or four eggs per nest.
ALEXIS
The daughter of R'ian and Elsa, sister of K'vin, ran off to join Blackstone weyr's activities when she was only 14. Actually, she was searched from their Foster home in Dawnlight, and Kelavin tells the story quite differently than she would. She considers herself a freedom fighter, and always disagreed -- if quietly -- with the policies at Dawnlight.
Now that they have moved to Alskyr, she hopes their new setting will provide a new backdrop for change in the House. She's not encouraged by their behavior so far. She must shrug it off and continue to do her work. She gazes at the skies and assists in blasting Ants or Rampage Plants with equal vigor -- currently she is 38 and knows that she and Reetoth have a long way to go before retirement.
She and K'eet often join Shard and his Spines on their drunken journeys across worlds. This has led both of them to a new appreciation for teleportation, and their dragons always know how to get them home safe and sound -- no matter how groggy or muddled their thoughts are!
Reetoth is an energetic spring-coil waiting to jump into the air. She assists her rider whenever she can, in whatever way she feels she's able. If that means taking her home after a night drinking, or swooping down to avoid Rampage spores, that's fine!
