1. Making Dua:

Before going to sleep every night, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) would recite the following dua:

“O Allah, I seek refuge in You from all evil things, both male and female.” (Bukhari)

Therefore, every Muslim must pray to Allah Almighty and ask His refuge from anything that is evil, magic being one of them. Check Muslim Dua Series to have this dua in your cellphone along with other set of daily duas you should recite daily.

2. Avoiding Pictures And Dog In House:

In another hadith, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

“The angels do not enter a house that has either a dog or a picture in it.” (Bukhari)

From this hadith, it can be deduced that when a house is in such a situation where the angels do not enter it, then it gets open to the attacks of the Satan. Therefore, it is imperative that Muslims refrain from all such acts that make the angels fly away from the house making it prone to Satan attacks, which can take place in the form of the effects of Black magic.

3. Surah Baqra Recitation:

 Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

“Satan runs away from the house in which Surah Al-Baqra is recited.” (Bukhari)

Therefore, in addition to general recitation of Holy Quran every day, a Muslim must also make the recitation of Surha A-Baqra a part of daily routine so that the house and its member could be protected from the attacks of Satan, which in majority of cases may occur in the form of

magic. If you do not know how to recite the Quran, you should start learning it. For that, you can avail Quran Tutoring services Online to be able to read Surah Al-Baqra in Arabic.

4. The Three Quls:

Abu Said Al-Khurdi (RA) narrated:

“The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to seek protection against the evil of jinn and the evil eyes till Surah Falaq and Surah Naas were revealed. After they were revealed, He took them for seeking Allah’s protection and left everything besides them.” (Tirmidhi)

Abu Hurairah (RA) also narrated that Prophet (PBUH) said:

“Surah Al-Ikhlaas is equal to one third of the Quran.” (Muslim)

Therefore, to keep the effects of magic at bay a Muslim must recite these three Quls on regular bases and make sure that they are a part of daily Quran recitation routine.

Conclusion:

In a nutshell, magic exists and under no circumstances should a Muslim resort to it as a means of getting things done. Moreover, as far as the protection from the effects of Black magic are concerned, a Muslim should rely on the verses of Holy Quran as a means of protection and safety.
