NB - As a painting, this has an awkward formal arrangement. In silhoutte, this would look rather like a lump, sharp color contrasts notwithstanding! But non-aesthetic considerations (the little history above) were given a higher priority when I decided to paint it. Even then, I couldn't help indulge myself in a bit of brush play.
