| For us it's lights out / But what's goin' on inside the White House / Is it the President's luck that got us fucked / Towers collapse, the terrorists attack / War in Iraq / While al-Qaeda fights back / Forest fires and floods on top of that / They don't react till there's corpses / Instead they go to war with abortion / Maybe if they kill the black babies crime rates'll start fallin' / And this is the solution that they thought of ?! / Run our lives that's a joke / I'm amazed they find a way to cope and manage / Forget helpin' people out they would rather go to war with gay marriage / I'll tell you what though / They need to go to war with all these unfit parents / They need to take the drugs off the streets / Not the drug dealers leave them dudes in peace and stop importin' that shit from overseas / We need to rework the schools teach the kids to read / If we gotta go to war then we gotta go to war with ourselves until everybody's free / We gotta take the homeless off the block and find a way to support them / Not throw them in jail like New York did / Most of 'em are homeless from the wars they fought in / Nothing more than a veteran fallin' / We gotta start takin' care of people older than us / In a few years those'll be us / Barely able to pay for medication just to live another day / But who am I to say / Just because I still dream / Still hope and that's regardless of the murder they wrote | ||||||||
