May 28 Whew it's been a minute man. Well here we go... Over the past few months I've been writing material for The Sands Of Time, The Dungeon Of Death II and tons of random stuff. The albums I was working on of old previously un-recorded material in The Days Of A Knight series have now all become double CDs. This will make a three album set of double CDs, In Biblical Times, The Age Of The Prophet and The Night Ends. As of right now In Biblical Times consists of 36 tracks and features most of the biggest names to ever rep the Kingdom. In the past week I recorded Through The Night, New Crown (feat Maega), Certified Terminators (feat G.O.D.), Live And Pray (feat Jaekwon), Live Playa (feat G.O.D.), Never Cry (feat Concept) and I Want U (feat Rahmael). There will also now be a Dungeon Of Death III and another Royal Kingdom compilation, Till Kingdom Come.
June 28 Only a few days away of the Proph Daily launch. The site is myspace.com/prophdaily. June 24 Proph's back in the studio putting the final touches on another new song, this one for The Days Of A Knight: In Biblical Times. It's a hard ass street track called Who's Next and features a verse from Gambino/No Nucks. This makes 18 for the "Biblical Times" double disc set. June 24 It's 1:00 in the afternoon and Proph just finished recording another track for Dungeon II. This one is a track about a girl alongside Muru and Concept, a reworking of a previously unreleased Muru track. June 23 Proph dropped a couple of tracks today. He is trying to focus primarily on Dungeon Of Death II right now. He just finished recording a new version of Street Convictionz, a classic Concept track. He also completed a remixed version of Gimme The Streets, a street banger with Gambino, formerly No Nucks. They each spit two verses and Nucks holds it down on the chorus. June 17 So here is the new street team player for Proph and Royal Kingdom. I am Justin and I am going to give all who love this page new material from Proph. So get ready for Songs, Poems, Interviews and more. See Ya 2marrow. One June 10 I just finished recording the 17th track for Biblical Times. In 2000-2001 Maega/Big Man and myself were collectively known as Murder Clout, "Who Can We Trust" was an incomplete song so I left Maega's chorus and the beat and threw a couple of verses on it from that time period and left a few of Maega's vocals on as well so we actually go bar for bar on a few parts. Some of that more harder gangsta shit. June 8 Today I recorded "Know Your Enemy" (feat. NYF) for The Days Of A Knight: In Biblical Times, a political themed song over a west coast beat. I also wrote what will most likely be the first half of 600 Lives, the sixth installment of my punchline tracks with no chorus, so far it is at 2:50 and will most likely end being roughly 5 minutes. June 4 Today I recorded "Hide Away" for The Days Of A Knight: In Biblical Times. It features Ralph on the chorus. This makes fifteen songs recorded for that double album. I also wrote a song today and finished writing another one, both untitled as of yet.
July
August
July 15 Today Proph recorded two more for Dungeon Of Death II, "Price Of Life" with Genero (C Wrtie) and "Put Ya Guns Up" up with No Nucks (Gambino). Price Of Life was a song for Genero's unreleased album and they just talk about the price we pay to live our lives over a Mobb Deep instrumental. Put Ya Guns Up was one of the hit tracks off of No Nucks' "The Best Kept Secret" album. They planned on doing a remix originally with Muru (Presy Jay) on it but never got around to it so Proph did the remix without him and just kept Gambino's verses the same and added one of his own in there. A really hot track and Proph doubles up on this one for half the verse. July 13 Proph was busy today, three tracks, all for Dungeon II. He remade Advokate's "Look In My Eyes", his first solo track. Proph took out his middle verse and added a new verse in which he raps fast as hell, this is deffinitely something to watch out for. Advokate now uses the name D-Bricks and can be found on Soundclick. He also did an updated version of "Never Walk", an old Genero song for his album that never came out. Proph took out a Genero verse, added one of his own in the middle and made a tight track even better. Genero now uses the name C Write and reps the G.O.D. clique. He also recorded his verse for a new song called D.N.A. (Deadliest Niggaz Alive). This is an interesting song, he took a song that G.O.D. did on this beat and a song that G.O.D. founding member Rahmael did on this beat and put them together, addidng a verse of his own in there. Back in 2001 when G.O.D. was getting too big they were all going to start a group called DNA so G.O.D. would just stay the four members and everyone else would be part of DNA instead. All of the rappers on this track were going to be DNA. July 8 Proph finished "Mess With The Best" today for Dungeon II with the former Royal Kingdom artist Perceval. Originally it was Perceval's first solo song set for Dungeon II that never dropped so Proph took out one of Perceval's verses and added a new one of his own.
August 27 Proph recorded a new version of "Whispers" today, the final song to be done for Beyond The Life, aside from the Intro. The original was recorded back in 2001 or 2002 and he wanted to make it a bit better to fit the rest of the album. This was the first song written for Beyond The Life. It now features a small part sung by Larysa on the chorus. Deffinitely an album of hit material. August 24 Today Proph recorded the intro for Dungeon Of Death II and put it all together. That completes the second Dungeon album. August 21 Proph re-recorded the final song for Early grave today. He was never happy with the way "The Chain" came out so he re-did it. The song is an intense three and half minute conversation with his necklace. This completes Early grave. August 14 Two songs down today. Proph recorded Graphite Tears for Urban Legacy Vol I and Confessions Of A Man for The Days Of A Knight: In Biblical Times. Graphite Tears did appear on the original Urban Legacy Vol I but Proph felt the title and concept were better than the song as the song was just sort of thrown together so he made an all new version which will appear on the album instead of the old version. He is waiting on Leah Matthews to record the chorus for the song. Confessions Of A Man is an old song previously unrecorded and will appear on the first "Days" album. August 12 Proph re-recorded Should I Ask Her for the Beyond The Life album. He was always unhappy with his two verses on the original because he felt that Larysa and Gambino outshined him by too much, now he thinks they only outshined him by a little. A great love song about building up the courage to ask someone out. August 11 Proph recorded the last song for Early Grave today entitled One More Night featuring Leah Matthews on the chorus. It is a sad love song from the point of view of a recently deceased boyfriend. August 8 Proph did the updated version of Love And Leave for the Dead In A Dream album today. He wasn't happy with the original version so had Leah Matthews sing the chorus and he wrote three new verses for it instead of using the old ones. This is a really hot and inspirational song to all women. August 5 Proph recorded "Mafia Style" today, the last song to be recorded for Dungeon II, it features verses from Rahmael and NYF. Originally it appeared as the last track on the Proph and NYF Collabo album, The Original Kingdom. It was to feature Rahmael but the master tape ran out of room so for years it was just left as Proph and NYF. Now the song is done as it was meant to be done and Proph did a new verse for it. The intro for the album is half way done but needs some more interview segments for it before it's complete. August 1 Proph did three tracks today, all for Dungeon II. He recorded the solo track, Face To Face Too which features Larysa on the chorus, a sequel to Face To Face which appeared as the last song on the first Dungeon Of Death. He also did After The Tears (Remix) which features Larysa on the chorus and Concept and the returning Assailant each on a verse. He also recorded the Another Chapter (Remix) which features a verse from NYF. All three tracks are incredible. This leaves one more track to be recorded for Dungeon II and the intro. It will hit the streets by the end of the month.
September
October
September 28 I'm running it again. Today I recorded "Give Up My Heart" for Lost In The Moment. That album came into being about a month ago when I realized I had a bunch of unrecorded material from the Heat Of the Moment time period so I threw about 15 of 'em together and got a new Lost album. I needed a singer a male singer on the chorus of this one which I do not have so I had to sing it myself and man do I hate that. Overall, it's a hot ass song written about three different girls back at the end of 2002. Now I just wish I could remember exactly who each verse was written about. September 17 Today Proph recorded "The Bottom" which will most likely appear on Legacy III. It's about being stuck at the bottom in life, a really hot song. September 14 Damn he was busy today, three tracks, all for Urban Legacy Vol III. It looks like that is the next album he is going to try to complete as far as recording goes. He re-did "Fight Back" and updated it a little. He recorded it a while back but being that it is a political track, some of the things have changed so he switched up a few lines and redid it. Another political one, "Revolution's Beyond Us" also had to updated just slightly, it came out hot as hell but may get cut from the album because the sound quality was a little off on it and his vocals crack at parts. The final track of the day will most deffinitely be on the album, "Another Day Down" and it features Larysa on the chorus. A smooth life song, deep, soulful, incredible. September 13 Today Proph recorded the new version of "We Claim One Love" for Lost In The Sands. The new version of the album will be completely on beats outside of the realm of hip hop, just because I told him that he used some weird beats he just has to go and prove me right. The album is turning out incredible. September 12 Proph just got back from his honeymoon and started blazin' the studio right away. Today he recorded "I Awake In The Night" for the upcoming updated version of the Lost In The Sands album. September 6 Two more tracks done today. First was "Killa Instincts" for The Days Of A Knight. A track which was originally done in 2000 with the Bronx/Willimantic rapper Infinite and featured Proph on the middle verse. He worked a few verses and now has three verses on it while Infinite has two, no chorus. The second track of the day was a remix of Miley Cyrus's "Seven Things" in which Proph raps two verses and Miley keeps one verse and the choruses. Crazy track! It will is not set to appear on an album but will be up on YouTube and maybe MySpace very soon. September 3 Proph just hit the studio again. Today he recorded the Intro for Lost In The Night which completes that album. He also recorded "Born To Become" for Urban Legacy Vol III. Urban Legacy is set up to be 19 songs but they are all running a little long so far so we'll see what P can pull off, he wrote about 30 songs for it. Born To Become will deffinitely appear on the album though.
October 21 Recorded "One Rapper" for Urban Legacy Vol III. Some killa punchlines over Chris Brown's Gimme Dat beat. October 6 Damn I'm still breathless from this one. I just finished "Still Bring It", a crazy punchlines track. One three minute verse and a chorus that carries out to the end of the track. This one is intense man. You'll definitley see it on Urban Legacy Vol III. One of the hardest tracks I've recorded in a while. October 4 I recorded "Broken Smile" today, a song that will most likely appear on Urban Legacy Vol III. It's a song about a couple I used to work with and he broke her heart. I wrote the song pretty much the day he dumped her, she never heard it.
