Yukmouth
I was never a fan of The Luniz, I didn'y even know the names of the two group members. Then 1998 a rapper came out on Rap-A-Lot Records named Yukmouth. Being from the east coast, they never played Yukmouth on the radio or ever even mentioned but in one issue of The Source, there was an article on this rapper named Yukmouth. He was so raw and real, he had a very intruiging story and I just had to hear him. I saw his double album at the store for only $10, I had a feeling about it even though I never even heard him so I bought the album, I was a fan from the first track. He was deffinitely raw, rugged and real, raspy voiced and gangsta lyrics. I love his voice alone, you know he means what he says, and by his second and third albums, his lyrics were phenomenal. He continues to grow, expanding his styles and releasing tons of music to the streets, I just wish that it would come out to the east coast but he drops tons of mixtapes that never make it over here. He has to be one of, if not the greatest rapper alive today.
