When I say Lex Luthor, I don't mean any Lex in the Superman myth, I mean THE Lex Luthor, Michael Rosenbaum's portrayal of him on Smallville. If I had to chose one fictional character I would want to emulate, it would be him. I love his power, the respect he demands makes him the man alone, forget any of his other qualities. If you have never seen Smallville, watch it just for Rosenbaum's performance. Beyond his power I love his sence of style, his profound knowledge, his outlook on life, his unwillingness to die and his eternal search for the truth. I don't see him as a villain, I think he is actually right with most of what he does. I also love this character because he reminds me of me in many ways, a lot of people have looked at me as the bad guy over the years although I don't really know why, much like Lex is looked at as the bad guy just because people want to see him that way. He can be your best friend, or your worst enemy. |
