Read this:
1 Cor. 11:17-18 (KJV)
Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse [18] For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.
That division was over whom they thought had the correct fellowship in the NAME of some one; they thought would make their fellowship, the true one.
Here�s my point again: The Apostle Paul was CORRECTING A MAJOR PROBLEM! The believers were gathering together around men, rather than Christ! Even using Christ�s Name in this manner was wrong in the explanation given by the Apostle Paul. As time passed, right up to our present day, men are hard at work building what they think is going to be the best before God. Today folks are given over to going far and wide to experience �Contemporary Praise and Worship� never trusting God in taking time to find serving Him where they live.
Jeremiah 2:12-13 (KJV)
Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the Lord. [13] For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.
It only would take the Gentile world in the name of Christ two thousand years to HEW out CISTERNS or dug-out vain ideas and philosophy to engrave upon men�s minds, by their own Judgments, so as to GET PAID, to EXPLAIN or DECLARE what they THOUGHT people were to do� to HAVE A CHURCH!
Look at the following word: Hewed.

ba'ar, baw-ar'; a primitive root; to dig; by analogy to engrave; figurative to explain :- declare, (make) plain (-ly).
The Jews did it and now we the Gentiles think we are better. In truth, we all have managed to do the same thing!
Want to know why this younger generation is void of any Joy and does not attend church so as to honor Christ? It�s because a RELIGIOUS CISTERN won�t hold water. They attend but there is not water or new and ongoing revelation of what, when and how to live their life in and by God�s WORD.
