[24] And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. [25] If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. [26] Let us not be desirous of vainglory, provoking one another, envying one another.
In men�s ideals of who knows the truth, they have given over to the worldly ways to acquired riches, provoking one another, via envy, competing for the GLORY of GOD, and have in their affections and lust to be known for their great works did this:
�FAILED� in trusting in God�s Word, giving over to the ways of the world, ABANDONING THIS WORD found in Jeremiah. Note Jeremiah it not talking about people outside the church at that time, but to those in it!
Jeremiah 5:28 (KJV)
They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge.
Jeremiah 7:6 (KJV)
If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walks after other gods to your hurt:
Jeremiah 22:3 (KJV)
Thus saith the Lord; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place.
So to answer to question of what is happening in the �Falling Away�? God is allowing man to �DO HIS OWN THING!� In the end, it will all come down. In falling down to the end, the question of what will men do is the right question, rather than asking what God will do!
