"It's not fair, you never let me do anything." Alisaha was arguing with he mother again. "I've been in Sendar all my life."
"You are too discontented, Alisaha, Sendar is a wonderful place."
"I just want more," Alisaha pleads, "there's got to be more to see, and do OUTside the walls of Sendar."
Alisaha's mother looks at her pitifully. "I'm worried about you. There are so many evils out there."
Alisaha sat down looking hurt "You don't trust me."
Her mom came and sat beside her, "It's not you, it's the world out there." She put her arm around Alisaha, and gave her a hug
Still arguing, "But Yeltra says if I'm careful about where I go, I will be safe.
Alisaha's mother stood up. "You JUST met Yeltra the other day. So he's the one stirring up all this discontentment."
Alisaha blushed. "You KNOW I wanted out out of Sendar before." she said emphatically. "But to hear him talk of all he's accomplished, of all he's seen."
Alisaha had a dreamy look in her eye. Her mom sat down and looked her in the eye.
"Now Alisaha, don't get lost in his ideals."
"But mom," Alisaha stood up in protest. "He's a sorcerer, he's very experienced, he could teach me what I need to know."
"I'll BET he's experienced!'
"No, not like that, cut me some slack. You never give me ANY credit; you never let me do anything!"Alisaha stood up and stormed out of the room. Taking
stairs by leaps and bounds, tears streaming down her face. She was out the door before she could think
Before she could talk herself out of it, she was running down Poor Alley.
She was so upset she didn't slow down at the West Gate. "Mom never trusted me, ain't I smart enough."She was muttering to herself, not even realizing that
she had transformed into an owl, and was flying over Haondor.
She was over Camaar before she realized she was flying. This surprised her so much that she was transformed back, and went falling to the ground. Luckily for
her she wasn't far from the ground, and she only hurt her ankle.
However, exhausted emotionally, mentally, and physically, she passed out immediately. When she woke up a strange cloaked man was standing over her.
"Are you ok . . ." The strange man asked.
Alisaha looked around and started to stand up carefully. "I guess .... where am I?"
"Camaar. You don't know where you are? How is that? he looked puzzled.
Alisaha told him of the fight, the impulse decision to run away, the turning into a owl, and the fall. The man's eyes grew wide.
"What have I done?" Alisaha cried, " I can't go back, she'll say I told you so, it wasn't safe, I couldn't make it!"
"The world is a dangerous place. . ." He piped in.
"But I know I could make it, I just don't know my way around." Alisaha sighed.
"I know of a place, where you can be safe, and have a group of friends to help you learn your way around, ones you can call when you're in danger."
Alisaha looked up at him, and started to dry her eyes. The man continued. "My clan is called the Advertures, you wanted adventure didn't you. Come with me, I
will show you where."He motioned her to follow her.
Thoughts of Yeltra and his promise to show her around, teach her things came to mind. Followed immediately by her mother's warning.
Was it Yeltra that was so interesting , or the idea of getting out of Sendar. Yeltra wasn't here now. It would be dark soon. "Oh well, I did say I wanted an
Adventure" ...
