| Miracle I believe God can do the unthinkable and unimaginable. He does things above what we ask or think. I have personally held this opinion strongly since August 1996. God has never once proven me wrong and I don't think He ever will. I was at home one Saturday when I had a call to come and pray for someone nearby from one of my fellowship members. When I got to the place, I was surprised to find a crowd of people all around. To be frank with you, I wasn't expecting such a large gathering to see me pray (and not at a Crusade). I gathered enough courage and went between the crowd to where the lady I was supposed to pray for was. To my utmost surprise this lady was a complete maniac (crazy and dirty from head to foot). The devil began to speak to me, "Get ready to fail, because you have never done such a thing before." All kinds of thoughts began to go through my mind. "Be wise, tell them to take the lady to the hospital". Then the Lord will speak to me, "They don't have enough money." My heart will then miss a beat. "Tell them to keep her in-doors till evening when the crowd would have dispersed," I would say. Then the Lord will speak to me, "Now is the hour of salvation." I felt like running away. Finally, I decided to pray all the same. I laid hands on the head of the lady and commanded as best as I could, "Come out of her, you foul spirit." Then the Lord spoke to me to tell them that she would fall asleep for five minutes and that after that she would be completely healed. I said it quickly, not wanting to be disobedient but without any idea how it would happen, and then I practically ran away. I had wanted to sleep off myself so that I would have no room to doubt when the group that had gathered to see the maniac came to my house. Their story was that the lady had responded just as I had spoken - slept for five minutes, woke up to ask of her shoes and other things indicating that she had recovered miraculously. I said, "Wow." This was something that happened that came as a shock to me. If God was not responsible for this I don't know who could have been. Praise Him! |
