Alienation from Unbelievers

Do not pit yourself against unbelievers. Join them. Christ did not come to the earth alienating Himself from sinners but befriending them and helping them. He ate and drank with them. He lived among them. And ultimately, it was not the sinners but the holy, religious men who killed Him.

Do not alienate yourself from unbelievers. Befriend them. Unless you do, how will they really see the love of God in you? If you live in another world, you will not be able to shine your light in this one. If you hide your light under a bushel of supposed righteousness, you cannot show the real love of God. It is not enough to be righteous. It is not enough to follow laws. It is too easy to love the world, but it is difficult to get along with your neighbors, colleagues, family members and anyone else you come into contact with.

You cannot truly say that you love unless you can approach others positively in love. It is easy to say you love the world because the world does nothing to you and you need take no personaly action toward it. You cannot truly say you love unless you can get along with people around you. Love that is a mere emotional feeling is not the love I desire for you.
