| The Propaganda Webring has been developed by the KAPCPER Institute to provide an analysis of the justification for the major US wars. Specifically, how was propaganda used to increase support for those wars. Throughout the Propaganda Webring, you will find links to pictures, audio, and video propaganda, from various wars throughout our history. Propaganda has been used in all facets of war. On many occassions, it was used to bolster support for wars the government had decided were required. In other cases, the propaganda was used to increase morale or support for difficult domestic policies during wartime. Often the propaganda is not generated by the government at all, but by private news organizations. Given the uproar surrounding the justifications and propaganda used to support the War in Iraq, a new section has been added to the analysis of each war contrasting the historical wartime propaganda to that of our current war. Please use the links to the left of this page to view the analysis of each war. |
