CONSORTIUM

The consortium participants are as follows:

The travel agencies are direct partners of business. They have many SME partners with whom they supply travel tours. The portion of the service they provide is organizing the connections between these SMEs. Our firm will work with the agencies on a commission basis. The agencies will be compensated by our firm for their services and thus no direct payments are to be made by the customers for the use of facilities that are included in the program packages.

The SMEs working with the agencies will provide alternative tourism options such as historical, religious, cultural, ecological and agricultural and outdoor tourism.

The ministries should encourage the tours made in Mediterranean countries by enacting appropriate legislation that eases the passes from one country to another. This should be achieved through negotiations. They should also make regulations that will enable the agencies serve with a high degree of freedom and should have discounts on prices of state-hold enterprises’ service and goods. The university partner will undertake the technical support that will make the project possible through effective computation of optimal routes for travelling tourists and other logistics-related parameters.

Initial market researches about demand, places of alternative tourism activities and/or opportunities, and suitable SMEs as future partners will also be conducted by the university partner.

The bank partner will accommodate our firm with merchant credit card account, which is currently the only way of making secure transactions over the Internet. Contribution of the IT Consultancy firm partner will comprise the main functions of an efficacious Web presence such as the hardware requirements of all kinds, firewall security (PC) and maintenance. The web page, i.e. the end user interface, will also be designed by this firm.
