" KIBBUTZIM" lets grant financial incentives for a self supporting kibbutz system in our state. I have been to Israel some five times during my days as a young international missionary evangelist. In a kibbutz all ones personal needs are meet including entertainment, movies, outings, etc. People work half the day then spend the rest of the day in training or school, or on their own time. The system is wonderful and it works. Homeless people could take refuge in these manufacturing or agricultural communities. There could be kibbutzim on the coast, fishing, fish farming, marine trade communities, etc. We must look for another solution, rather then putting people in jails and prisons wholesale like we do. There needs to be a place that alcoholics can go and find real help in these communities, the same with people who have drug problems. We need to look at what works in other countries and states, where they don't practice the placing of and destroying of personal lives and families, by throwing people in jail, with heavy fines. For things as simple as sleeping in ones car. In the city that I live in it is 250.00 fine for sleeping in ones car if your homeless, if they want to enforce it. It makes me sick to think of the laws we have against powerless poor and honest people, when so much major corporate crime goes on....to be continued
