Hello my name is PETER ROMANOWSKY and I am a CANDIDATE for SAUSALITO SCHOOL DISTRICT. I am 49 years old and have lived in Marin County for 36 years. I have two grown children and one still growing teenager. My background is that of a former evangelical pastor, international missionary, radio broadcaster, halfway house director and officer of a religious incorporation.
I would like to see more male teachers of color hired as role models for our students. I would like to see time proven morals and values, taught along side of reading writing and arithmetic. I would like to see more financial accountability of our tax dollars. I would like to see more parental involvement in our students curriculum. I would like to see the religious values of the parents preserved without ridicule. I would like to see a free flow of knowledge and information in general, without bias on an equal playing field.
In an age when schools have become a battleground for our young peoples minds. We need to guard against the bias of organizations that speak against the values and morals of the parents. Especially those parents who cannot afford to put their children in private or religious schools. But are forced by economics, government, etc., to put their most precious promises and future into a sometimes virtually atheistic environment. Where organizations or persons with special agendas can come in and say anything they want against the parents values. Without parental and community involvement we cannot keep these organizations and people at bay.
Here are some more details on what needs to be changed. We have to be on guard against both right and left wing political influence on our young minds. Children are the future voters of America, it is easy in influence these young minds toward either spectrum of the extreme scale. We need a perfect balance, this balance we do not presently have. Students are being subjected to a materialistic or view of the world. The word God cannot be used in the same breath as creation. Atheistic evolution has become the fact and NOT THEORY of an extreme element of our California body of teachers. Even Charles Darwin repented of his atheistic view of the world in his old age. The proof is that his bishop had him buried in Westminister Abbey, where no atheist is purpose to be buried. This view of the world suited the nineteenth century well for the antimissionary element that wanted to colonize and rape the world. Using the excuse that Anglo Europeans must be on some different level of evolution and must subject the rest of the world to their form of civilization. This type of subliminal instruction must be stopped, curbed. This subconsciously makes young minority students feel unequal with their primarily Anglo view of the world teaching establishment. We need more teachers of color to combat this subtile refusal of current instructors to break out of this mold and view of the world, where only the fittest, tallest. smartest, most beautiful or fair skinned people should control the world and it's resources. Mind you this influence is very subliminal and is changed slightly every so often to make it appear that it isn't taught. First by saying that man evolved in Europe, then changing it to China, then to Africa of which people then immigrated up to Europe. All this evolutionary gymnastics ends up in the same place. Making minority students feel that they are on some endless scale of evolution, unequal with their instructors of European decent, who hold the historical views of colonial materialistic hedonism. Which only encourages our young people to act as moral less animals in a dog eat dog world. We need to begin to teach again the words of our constitution "We hold these truths to be self evident, that ALL MEN ARE CREATED Equal".
We also need to begin teaching our students that western civilization began in Egypt, with black Africans as it's architects. The MARIN COUNTY GRAND JURY concluded that strong leadership was needed in the Sausalito School Distinct. Here we have a chance to change things, begin applying generally believed faith based solutions in our public schools. It works in the private sector in the areas of drug rehabilitation, family counselling, emergency housing food and shelter problems. Why not in our public schools. The Supreme Court was wrong when it agreed with America atheists to ban all moral instruction in an orthodox religious context. We have sown to the wind and reaped the whirlwind. The Nuremberg trials concluded that it was wrong to obey an immoral or evil Supreme Court decision as a matter of conscious.
It's time for a new revolution, not with guns for the schools already have enough of them, but with knowledge based on time proven morals. Such as "THOU SHALT NOT KILL" which is illegal to utter presently under our current interpretation of our teachers in our public schools. Instead of religious intolerance we need to begin to defy the Supreme Court non violently by inviting priests, ministers and rabbis, to speak more often in our schools of the values of tolerance, God given morals and time proven ideals and what this country was really founded on. Some fifty times the police have had to be called to our Sausalito schools because of class disruptions. Students throwing chairs, teachers afraid to turn their backs to students from fear of being hit from behind with chairs. why not call the pastors of the students mothers to talk with them, instead of the police all the time. You better believe if the ministers came and lectured the students, they would listen.
The Grand Jury labelled the Sausalito School District as "Dysfunctional", was the official conclusion. Grades that couldn't get them through high school, low morale among teachers, frequent absences, lack of expelling chronic trouble makers, lack of strong leadership, lack of resolve, lack of purpose, no lack of money. Come to you own conclusions read the report, obviously the curriculum needs to be looked over and overhauled. Something about it is not getting the students attention. Maybe more computers in class, with teachers that know how to teach with them.
To begin with my philosophy is based on the non-violent political change that both Martin Luther King preached, as well as his mentor Mahatma Gandhi. I believe that I am to continue the work that they began and who were also both inspired by Jesus of Nazareth. The change that needs to take place is so great, so fundamental, that the Republican Party philosophy alone, will not be able to continue the basic changes that need to be accomplished.
we are last in the civilized and industrialized world in test scores. Only Latvia and Cyprus are further behind,we have fallen from being the best, to the worst, considering our size and talents. How could this be? well one answer is that all the great centers of learning that our country was originally founded on were religious in nature. Since the Supreme Court has taken upon it self to remove pluralistic religious tolerance from our public education system, the schools have slowly sank into chaos. Teachers are being raped and beaten, children are bringing weapons to school and slashing other students. Knifes have replaced the Mcguffey reader, bloodshed and shootings are becoming common place. Without morality based upon some notion that there is a Supreme Being to give account too, we are all herding just like animals.
What is the answer? well in light of current supreme court rulings, we will have to encourage private charter schools to be established with vouchers to compete with the public schools which are so entrenced with their own union philosophy and job security that they have little time to really educate the children like they need to be. Without healthy competition from the private sector and the godly missionary minded volunteers needed to educate our children with some kind of moral purpose other then survival of the fittest. There is no hope of ever turning things around to the point where we can once again say the words, "thou shalt not kill".
Needless to say the other philosophical foundations of this campaign are the basic beliefs that government has become to big when it encrouches upon the family time of it's citizens. Teachers spend more time with our children then parents do. It 's wrong for our children to be taught social engineering in our schools during daylight hours and then loading them down with homework based on the things that should have been taught in school. But instead it becomes more time taken from the parents or the parents having to become the teachers after hours, when their tax money should have been doing the job during the day.
The school system and the prison system have grown to be the two largest aspects of our
government and both are headed by the two largest unions in the state.They want to protect their
jobs over the welfare of the children that are trapped in their schools and the fathers that are
trapped in their prisons.
