Gin And Tonic
Rare Spotted Thoroughbred

Of a wild homozygous Pinto dam and a Thoroughbred bred back to a racing Appy, we ended up with..... Ginny. At first, we considered her to be a fluke; surely, nowhere in the world would we ever get a repeat filly with such an insane pattern. Is she a Pinto gone wrong, or have we stumbled across a new variation in our quest for color? Although we've not established a rhyme or reason to the colors she produces, so far we've gotten three foals from her - two splotchy fillies and a colt. The colt was solid save for a few speckles on his rump, the fillies astounded us with their amazing leopard print bodies. She seems to throw this pattern when bred to nearly any stallion -- just not on her colts! Standing at 15.2hh, she makes a formidable opponent on the track; if only she could race legally. At this time, she is not eligible for jockey club registration, but she is by blood a true Thoroughbred. Her solid colt was JC registered; her fillies are color registered and sporthorse registered. Breed to get one of these beauts!
