Welcome to Conajo

Based as the central aspect of Prologue Racing, the race season of which Miss Conajo founded, Reba Conajo runs her facility with intense pride and respect for the animals. Nestled right smack dab in the middle of bustling city life in every direction, it began as a 170 acre facility dedicated purely to Thoroughbreds. Most specifically, racing Thoroughbreds. It grew, and now encompases over 1,500 acres, most of which is leased to individuals. Her original 170 acres is what she primarily maintains, housing little staff and several magnificent horses -- be they in their prime or retired. Upon each new set of acreage, a new line of galvenized fencing, designed specifically to keep those sky-high flyers from leaving the property altogether. Within such fencing is simple white pickets followed by a single strand of live wire - strategically placed to keep unwanted visitors from laying their filthy thieving paws on Reba's most precious family members.

At some facilities, horses are treated like possessions: given what is needed, paraded around, run until they've dropped. Here, though they technically are possessions, they're family first and foremost. With three barns on the property, each holds approximately 13 horses. Each individual has their own box stall and turn-out, while still other paddocks are available for boarders or imports/exports. A lavish set up indeed, but Reba has gambled hard to make it possible.
Born into the racing lifestyle, she began gambling on the races at an early age, with surprising talent for the act. Driven by her father's willful determination, she turned the tables and beat him at his own game -- starting a facility to be run her way. At 23 years old, she has successfully picked the right ponies enough times to call this facility hers - and hers alone. Welcome to Conajo Facility, feel free to inquire about our services. We are always hiring!
