Revolutionaries For Positive Change
Changing the World One Heart At A Time
It is easy to love the people far away.  It is not always easy to love those close to us.  It is easier to give a cup of rice to relieve hunger than to relieve the lonliness and pain of someone unloved in our own home.  Bring love in to your home, for this is where our love for each other must start.
Mother Teresa

Some Philosophy First:
No Matter What You Try To Do In This Life, You Can Always Find Friends That Will Help You Along The Way-make sure they are good ones and what you are trying to do is GOOD!!!
We live in both a material world and a transcendent world.  That is why everything we do and say is important.
To be more authentically human, to become more of who we are,
to be called to conversion-
I believe more and more,
this is what it is all about.
Peace is found within;and in front of the Blessed Sacrament.
Home is where God is.
What you do and who you associate with says a whole lot about who you are.  That may sound simplistic, but bottom line is, choose your friends and acquaintances carefully.
All zeal for reform that gives offense to peace and charity, is mere pretense.
Willian Cowper
History
The idea for Revolutionaries was born in approximately 2003.  It was inspired by God.  Despite my ill attention to the matter and my attempt to stray from it,  the idea, the conception, the project, and the name has survived.  It was meant to be.
For history of Revolutionaries. see http://www.geocities.com/jbarrymaine/RevolutionariesForPositiveChange2.html
Who Is Revolutionaries?
A multipartisan, grassroots, Catholic, community based, politically active organization.   We adopt the principles of charity, honesty, integrity, academic excellence, and positivism.   We want to build bridges of communication without compromising principles.   We are Catholics who are 100 % faithful to the teachings of of the Catholic Church.
Purpose
New times have new challenges, and new people.  They  require new approaches.  See sources of change theory on Study of Revolution page  Our purpose is to augment what we hear and see and know to be true, by our faith, from the Word of God, from the teaching of the Church.
What Positions Does Revolutionaries Take?

1.  We take a position on life issues.  Life is sacred from the moment of conception to a natural death.

2.  Abstinence is consistent with Judeo-Christian values.   "Abstinence only" education is to be encouraged.  Abortion mentality is related to the contraceptive mentality.  Abortion is a radical  contraceptive method.

3.  We believe that God is the creator of the universe.  Intelligent Design as a scientific theory is something to be considered, studied, and explored.

4.  We also take a position on environmental issues.   To be a good steward is Bible based.   We need to become better stewards of our environment.  In that way, we are concerned about life on this planet in all its aspects.  We are concerned not only about human life, but also about all forms of life on this planet. We think globally.  Why?  Because what happens environmentally on other continents effects even us, in our corner of the world.

Climate is changing at a rapid rate.   The winter of 2005/2006 has been warmer than any winters that people in this part of the planet can remember. How much of that is due to global warming?  We do not know for sure.  However, global warming certainly is suspect.  It is time to act and act now.  We cannot sit back and wait any longer.
What does it mean to be a good steward?
to be cognizant of the environmental problems and potential corrective action

to recognize the power of one to make a difference

to actively seek ways to solve our environmental problems and improve our environmental situation
