Two years after the defeat of Sin, Yuna, Rikku, and a newcomer named Paine, set out on a
quest to learn more about the truth of Spira
which was hidden by the Yevon clergy for
years. Most importantly, Yuna is out to
find her love, the star of the Zanarkand
Abes. A sphere found on the snowy mountains
of Mount Gagazet might hold the key to what
happened to him. On a quest around Spira
to find movie spheres containing the true
past of their mysterious world, Yuna, Paine,
and Rikku will encounter new enemies and
a new threat that has the potential to interrupt
the Eternal Calm. What has happened to Spira
now that machina is no longer illegal or
against any teachings?
With the aid of the new airship, named the Celsius, Yuna will venture around the
world, revisiting previous locations from
her pilgrimage. Some places have changed
greatly, such as the remodeled Kilika.
Now that Sin is gone, villagers can now
rebuild their homes without living in
fear.
Lulu and Wakka currently reside in Besaid Island-
married and expecting. Kimahri currently
leads the Ronso tribe up on Mount Gagazet,
as he tries to rebuild what was lost two
years ago. The newest addition to the
crew is Paine, an 18 year old woman whose
past is unknown. With her strength, Paine
will be valuable to Yuna and Rikku during
their quest.
Everyone wants to seek out everything there is to know about Spira. One group of sphere hunters in particular holds a threat against Yuna, their names being Le Branc, Uno, and Sano. Withought the Yevon religion, summoners, nouns, and priests cease to exist. A new group titled the Youth Union is rapidly growing throughout Spira.
How
